Birthday Celebration at Home

Boon Heng bought my birthday cakes from "k ki", a new Japanese located at Ann Siang Hill. The cakes are a bit too sweet for my liking.

Boon Heng was excited about his new discovery and had wanted me to visit the shop. I should drop by one of these days soon, after searching the webs for some of its pictures.

4D3N Bintan Lagoon Getaway

We are back again to Bintan, and back in the same place, Bintan Lagoon Resort. Almost home-sweet-home. Everything is so familiar, unchanged since our last visit last November (2010).
We are lucky this round. Our room comes with seaview, and Oliver is once again attracted by the inhouse video on the hotel.
The resort has two pools, main pool and a smaller family pool. Strangely, Oliver prefers to stick to the main pool, and decides not to give the waterslide at the family pool a try.

While swimming, Oliver says that he smells french fries, although we couldn't see it anywhere. So we reward Oliver's strong sense of smell with french fries at the poolside.

After splashing at the pool for long hours, the kids feel all cosy, wrap up the thick towel. Oliver must add that the towel smelled good.

We end our trip with reward of the green curry chicken, which we fell in love during our first trip to Bintan. But not quite nice this round, we find it rather spicy and salty.

It has been a good 4 day getaway, and we totally enjoyed doing nothing, just eat and rot in the pool. This shall not be the last.
